new genre

Whatever you want to call it I really like this.  My French is too poor to follow the lyrics so if you could post them I would like to know what you are saying.

I am into cross pollination of genres myself so this strikes me as imaginative and appealing.  I really like the addition of the Arabic scale with the double harmonic.

Food for thought:  "what if you put an orchestra behind it?" A string section.  Basses. Cellos.  Long, slow, legato parts that you probably will not notice but are not really intended to.  Fill out the lower regions of the sound-frequency spectrum.  These things, IMHO often neglected by modern musicians, can really propel your song forward without ... as I said ... really drawing the listener's attention to the fact that they are there.

You're right Mike.

I'm just in the middle of MAO lessons and I can feel something's missing in the songs I produced.

Although I understand why you mean, I still can't fill out those lower regions without my songs getting a muddy sound.

But I'll keep that in mind, I promise.

Thanks.
