Todd the Ghost or The Tunnel of Chance

When I was a child I had an amazing experience with a ghost! I narrate the story with a lot of fantasy since it didn't happen that way, was it something much more... disturbing? Still I was never afraid when he appeared. He was a silent figure following me around the house, as if he was watching over me...
So here's the story of Todd the ghost, in my own way... I hope it distracts you.

When I was a child 
I used to talk to a ghost
whenI played alone 
in my room
with my drawing books

He was dressed in a white sheet 
had sad face and sad eyes 
and appeared preceeded 
by a sudden cold 
that made me put on a coat

His name was Todd

I asked him many things
about Heaven and Hell
and where does our soul go

I left Hell in earth
and Heaven in my dreams
he told me
but there are important things
that you have to discover

21 grams is the weight 
of the brightness of our eyes 
that disappears when we die

our soul splits in two 
one is the sou of mind 
the other the soul of light 
both in different limbos

to become flesh and bones
they need to meet again
through the tunnel of the chance

God hands out some numbers 
among the waiting souls 
so that they can go out 
to find their other half 
through the tunnel of chance

This is such a good song and it's the best video I have seen in years. I see a lot of humour here, which is a great contrast to the subject. Thanks for posting it.

Hi Mora. Great. Your early years obviously help fuel your wonderfully quirky music and imaginative videos.

 

Alas, my own childhood was one of simply playing football, cycling, mucking about, piano practice, reading, and long periods of just being bored. Oh, and also running away from the weird priests who ran the school ... subject matter I've not yet been able to convey in music/video!

Thank you for your nice comment.

Each childhood is a universe, mine was that of loneliness in different residences depending on whether it was winter or summer, my parents traveled constantly, and when I was at home there was only the cook and the cleaning lady... So the ghosts they have been companions of imagination and games without wanting it.

 You say "fleeing from the priests..." I understand what you mean, I was abused by a relative, I was 10 years old... I made a song so I encourage you to put music to that which never stops hurt but regret.
