I hope that you will now try to commercialize this one.  The phrase "Whiskey rose of another color" introduces a very important concept that I have not yet heard in a commercial song: that the singer is speaking of the effect that alcoholism has had ... not upon himself, but upon his spouse.

 

Damn good lyric – especially: "that damned bottle has drank me my wife."

 

"Commercially original."  Pitch it.

Hi Tony,

Initially cryptic lyric (right up my street that), then becomes clear later. Cracking lyrics mate and very good acoustic guitar solo which linked well...good song, understated, matter of fact vocal delivery adds to the impact.....

Went right into 'Between the Lord and Me' after - another excellent title. Enjoyed that one as well. This irreverence is becoming your theme....😀
