Absolutely stunning.  This should be #1 on the charts and earning you a very nice paycheck. 

 

I strongly encourage you to make sure that you've registered the USA Copyright and then to peddle this song in Nashville: I'm entirely sure that you will very quickly find a willing buyer.

 

There are only two specific suggestions:

 

(1) ... if you haven't lost any everything."  Much more powerful.

 

(2) Sitting in the background, never calling attention to itself, playing "whole notes," a legato cello/double-bass line.  As the song progresses as it now does, this "line" is always there, subtly "tying the whole thing together."  Never noticeable unless it isn't there.

 

However, once you have sold the song, the subsequent producers will take care of these issues for you.

Nicely crafted song and an appealing track with commercial potential. I agree with @MikeRobinson about changing the word "anything" to "everything" - would enhance the impact of the lyric.
