Right, kinda hard to tell what you got from the pic, Steve's right, give us an idea of what you wanna do. A few guys here have done some work on their axes and could probably help with better pics and a clearer understanding of what's wrong and what you wanna change. [smiley=acoustic.gif]

Right,...What's a quid? J/K [smiley=bounce.gif]

Hey

how good at spray painting are you? Cans aren't as good as an airbrush. It's harder to get a decent finish.

I've rebuilt several guitars but not for a few years. One thing I would say about spraying, be patient. Let the paint cure properly before adding more coats. You'll need some wet and dry sanding blocks, mainly the smoothest. and lots of lacquer.

Getting the neck right is a pain. Unless the neck finish is badly damaged I wouldn't strip it back.

Component wise, if it's like for like swap, there's no real changes, just unscrew then screw in the new one.

Cheers

John

One thing worth noting, learn how to solder correctly, if you don't already know. Noisey or faulty connections usually come down to poor soldering. There's little point in fitting new bits if you can't fit them correctly. Of course you could be the soldering champion of the world in which case feel free to poke me with a stick and laugh as I limp off....
