Almost Naked

The world has become too complicated, overrated, bloated - agitated

but still I must say - she’s the closet thing to perfection I’ve ever seen

I wait, I hesitate, then it dissipates. No restitution - pollution 

ebb and flow I go my own way

we question the issue and then wish for solutions

over and over again

the cycle dies, worlds collide, to begin again

 

Twisted Within You

 

Did I get you twisted

Was is it something I said

Did I bleed you dry

Did I make you cry

A moment lost in time

Try to forget

Comes back to haunt you with regret

You lie naked, obliterated

lost in the abyss, I reminisce

the weight of your hate is tenfold

she lies, she hides and retreats

 

The Sun Never Rises

 

I’ve been drinking waiting for the sun to rise

I stopped at 12pm, my world went black, I can’t take back what I have shunned

the world is a whore, I’ve been gored again

it’s no surprise it happens all the time

why think, just drink 

I’m a recluse, obtuse, there is no pain when it reigns

the book’s cover lies

allusions, illusions become delusions

dreams become a guide for a world never known

timeless, I won’t wait for the signs

take a ride, don’t question what can’t be defined
