I have spent most of the last day picking on my new Larrivee D-02E guitar. For the price, I have never played a guitar that matched it in sound and playablity combined. They really have a sweet thing going on with their products! Have any of you played/owned a Larrivee? What are your thoughts about them? I play live next Friday after a short break. I'm really excited to add this to my show!

sounds like the action of your strings is to high your guitar is basicaly unplayable get some one with expereance to check it out
This was my initial thought. If you've been playing everyday for that long, it sounds like your guitar needs some work. Also, what gauge of strings do you use? If action is good, perhaps your string gauge is too heavy. Be careful, though, because strings that are too light for a guitar's setup will buzz and sound poor at higher volumes. Make sure you have your guitar set up for good action. :-)

What do you say?
What's easier to play with? What makes the best sound?
I usually use a pick, but I fingerpick a couple of songs in a live show. I also hybrid pick a few. Variety is cool!

Hello fellow noob. :-)

Thanks, Tom! I like the "a work in progress" over your pic. That's one of my favorite sayings and definitely applies to me as an artist and as a person in general! :-)

Hello everyone! I have been searching for a good forum. I really want to step further into the songwriting realm these days. I have written a handful, but I want to build a collection of good songs I can call my own. I perform live in my region once or twice a month. I play mostly country-ish stuff, mostly covers, although I do throw in a few of my own also. I handle criticism very well...actually I must be somewhat masochistic, as I enjoy it. That being said, I also love positive comments as well. I look forward to meeting and talking with you. If the admins are okay with it, I will post my Facebook page just in case anyone wants to see what I already do. http://facebook.com/marcusboydmusic

I can see why he plays them exclusively...this one has a nice balance of deep tone, bright highs and playability. :-)
