I did end up hiring music demo service. I talked to them yesterday by phone. I am not using their vocalist as a friend from school sings and i like his voice. he has a home studio setup and we will record the vocals there. the company produces the instrumental and will mix the song then at the end. they only charged me $100 for that. can't wait to hear the song. as soon as i have it i will of course post it.

Thank you. I hope I will be able to post some songs very soon. I already posted in Musicians Lounge about demo production companies. I came across three and I am wondering which one I should go with.

I have three that are finished and really want to record. I have the lyrics and the melody ready. They should be pop while one could also be r&b. A local studio is no option for me. I live in Frankfurt and just to hire a studio for an hour would set me back about 150 Euros. Plus hiring the vocalist and the mixing and mastering. I think an online demo production company would be better for me in terms of price.
I think I will write all three of them and see if the really expensive ones can do something about the price. And I think just by the way of their reply I can hopefully get a decent picture of them.

As I earlier explained in my introduction, I would like to demo some of my songs that I have written over the past few years to finally showcase them out side of my family and friends circle. I have been researching companies that can demo songs. I really want good vocals on them. I can't sing myself but think that good vocals will do my songs very good.
I have come across a few companies that offer demos and I was hoping you can give me some advice in regards to them
1. www.musicdemoservice.com - my first choice at the moment. I like the voice of the singer in the references. The price seems very low but they say on the website it is just a promotion for a limited time. Can't find anything about them online. Is that a good sign as unsatisfied customers normally scream the loudest?
2. www.studiopros.com - I found them an really like the demos they have put online. However, there are a some really bad reviews about them online. So my guess is that they put their top songs online and basically don't really care about the one time client. Another big issue is the price tag their demos come with. I am looking for full band demos
3. www.dublinstudiohub.com - I don't think I will go with them just because of the price tag. But they advertise a lot as they pop up every time I google demo related search terms.
Any thoughts on this?

Thank you very much Tom! Yes, my English should be fine as I use it a lot, but it's still different from native speakers I would assume.

Hi all. I'm new to this forum. I'm 19 years old and have been writing songs and playing the guitar since I was nine, but I never really posted anything online. I think I want to take things to the next level and show some of my lyrics and record some demos to get an opinion outside of my family. So, hope I will feel welcomed here. Sorry for my (sometimes) not correct English. I am actually based in Germany.

I received my demo. I ended up not using my friend as a vocalist as planned and used one of their vocalists. I posted the song here so you can have a listen. I am more than happy with the result and will probably use them again in the future.http://forums.songstuff.com/topic/39516-fist-recorded-demo/
