Listen to the solo on Another Brick in the Wall: Part 2; Dave gets 1.5, maybe 2 tone bends at points. And that's with 11 gauge strings - it's a matter of the guitarist's finger strength. When in doubt, Sitar: Sitarists can bend up to 4 tones with decades of training.

I'm Ryan, and I enjoy making, listening to, and otherwise being a part of music.
Ask me anything, rip anything I post to shreds: I dare you
This forum seems like a healthy place for musicians to grow their ideas, hopefully I'll become a part of it soon.

I appreciate what he's doing - the music lacks tension, though. Why do acoustic guitarists feel so compelled to use harmonics when almost endless possibilities reside within the regular notes?
That being said, his fluency is refreshing...aside from the squeaking noise he makes on every single chord jump.

John McCrea is my absolute favourite vocalist - candid, eloquent, and acrid.
Regina Spektor's voice has an interesting timbre, if only she stayed in tune the whole time she'd be hands-down my favoured female vocalist.
Donald Fagan easily has the most effortless voice in modern music, it's very soothing.
