  1. Thank you all for the welcome! And sorry, I do not mean to break any rules, I do understand that unwanted advertising is annoying, and, well, unwanted! =) Thank you also Lazz and FinnArild for your input about music software. I think I'll help my uncle get on here to join the community! Cassie
  2. Hello everyone! When it comes to music, I am not as talented as you all probably are (I took piano lessons in elementary school, never practiced, and played flute in band through high school because my mom made me! But now that I have a piano in my living room, I am brushing up and practicing for fun!!!). I joined this forum to try and help my Great Uncle Alan, who is a musician/music teacher. He has provided a service, with only a handful of customers, to convert audio compositions into sheet music, adding accompaniment, chords, or melody lines if requested. He's retiring from teaching this year and has been trying to expand his business. I'm wondering, do you own your own music notation software? Or do you use services such as the one that my uncle provides (would that be called music typesetting/engraving?)? Is there any other insight you could give me into the typesetting aspect of your work? Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much! Cassie
