  1. WOW, thanks for the responce guys. Hey to be honest it was probably me mixing the words condenser and compression so do not worry. Thers a lot to go over here but ill have a blast through and let you know how i get on. Many many thanks for all your advice etc it will make a huge difference to my recordings im sure. Thanks again matt MattBeck - Ages till my Wages (NEW)
  2. I have a few tracks on SoundClick.com and a few do clip on the vocals - this is avoudable i know by turning the volume or unput level down however a couple are a little rocky so need the volume and the power. I have been told i can 'condense' the vocal but i cannot find out how to do this!! i have read the instructions and gone through the CD tuturial (waste of time that was) i am using Cubase LE and do have a 'Noise gate' tab which has - Threshold,Attack Time, Min Opening times and Release Time setting!! Is this what im looking for? i am a little confused, maybe my software simply does not have a Condense ability?? Anyone have a clue? Thanks Matt
  3. Hey guys, i am using Cubase LE (not the best i know), i have recorded 3 sings posted on here over the last fe weeks but now all of a sudden my songs are playing either really fast or really slow?? if i open them on my PC they are fine but as soon as i uplaod them ther get distorted and play slow or fast?? the settings that seem to alter this are my Sample Rate and Attribute level when i do my Audio mixdown My Attribute level goes from 8-128 KBit and my Sample rate is 8-48 KHz I know the answer is stareing me in the bloody face but what do i need to set these at to get the best quality and keep the tempo of the tune the same as it was recorded in? Thanks matt
  4. WOW guys, dd not expect such a responce - thanks for all the advice, i am planning on sticking around. A few ppl i know have commented on my stuff being a bit raw but having potential (probabaly just didnt want to offend me lol) so i do plan on getting my tracks on one of yout reccomended sites and posting links for you to have a listen as i would love your feedback, im gonna keep on listening to all your tracks to as this helps me to se other ways of presenting a song. At the mo i only have my acoustic guitar so do not know much about mixing in other instruments but hopefully will learn from forums like this and grow. Thanks again guys Matt - off to get my tracks on a web site.
  5. Hey masterman, i have checked out the web site and listened to the before and After tracks - its good work. i was looking for a tiny little bit of advice - how do i get my tracks in condenced MP3 format? i am using Cubase Light (as its all i have at the moment) and im wondering if its this that is holding me back. my recording quality is not great despite the tracks being 17+ meg in some cases and they are saved as .WAV files. Could you please advise me at to wht would be the best action? upgrade my software, tweak some seting etc Thanks Matt
