Transcribe software?

Hello friends..

Ricky here from the Circle of Friends.. I very seldom ask questions in these forums..one, because... I don't understand most of your responses. (a techy, I'm not)

And two..because Didier usually walks me through most things... But I haven't been able to get a hold of him so....

I have a friend, who has asked me about software for his wife. She is a Transcribe... I hope I am wording this correctly.

He has asked me about software (mp3 files) for this type of work.

He told me today he bought a wav pedal??? I don't know what one is. But thought if any of this made since to any of you.. I would send him a link to this forum, and maybe you could help out some.

Hey Steve..thanks for your response. It is difficult for me to translate what it is Tony is wanting.. I will ask him for a more indepth meaning... or better yet send him a link to this forum to ask his own questions..that would make more sense.

If you have tried to contact me, perhaps your email never reached me. I didn't received one from you recently.

I have a friend, who has asked me about software for his wife. She is a Transcribe... I hope I am wording this correctly.

Pure guess from my part. Would this job consist in transcribing recording of meetings on word processing/paper?

He has asked me about software (mp3 files) for this type of work.

If my above guess is correct, that would be a software you can pause/restart (and perhaps cue backward/forward) with a pedal.

He told me today he bought a wav pedal???

Which would explain the "wav pedal". In the past, people used specific tape recorders for these jobs. It would make sense that they now use PCs with specific software/hardware.

And yes, I have sent you mail.. But this darn thing is acting up again.

I had to reboot to even get this far today!!!
