Midi To Yamaha Np30 Keyboard

I'm sending a midi signal from my DAW to my Yamaha NP-30 piano. It plays the notes as it should but I am unable to change the voice setting on the piano. It will only play in the standard piano voice. It will not switch to the other voice settings on the keyboard. The manual gives info on midi data formatting but I am unfamiliar with how to change it. It talks about 'ppH' program change numbers but I do not have any info on how to do this. I am using Cubase Essential 4.
