When Zenons Chirp

There’s light drizzle

There’s an arresting calm

Sound carries tiredly

Snails emerge

Roof tiles glisten

Light fractures and arcs

Bikes collapse under tykes

Spectacles refract droplets

Cityscapes blur

The greenery drinks deep

Rotting wood bloats

Water meadows exhale

Dragonflies are dashed

The air is cleansed

Toads bask

Grockles huddle and carp

Zenons look up with half shut eyes and enjoy
