You've got some excellent musical-development ideas going on here, Mikael, but I think that you wait too long to release them.  "Cut each section in half."  Ten/Fifteen seconds is long-enough for the opening slow-pitch ... move straight on in to the next development and the next and the next.

 

Also consider the device of "teasers" ... a musically-interesting idea that you intend to fully-develop later in the song, that you "hint at" earlier on.

 

In lots of songs you sometimes hear "a cello part."  A separate musical part playing a so-called ostinato that you don't initially notice, but that is in fact already playing a musical line that you subsequently feature.
