The continuation of the story I started to write. I got chapter 2 done, more soon to come.

Chapter 2: The Melancholy of Souls

So cold and alone in my prison.

Why did I not pick up the sword?

My mind strained with perfect reason.

I turned my back on my lord.

Stay here do I.

Oh, God, no release!

No escape from the others.

No escape for me.

Bound in this trap.

Cry my hands into my face.

My wings are now black.

And horns for disgrace.

I’ve been cast away

Ever since that day.

I can’t wait for the end.

I can’t wait for decay.

Writhed up in pain.

Curled in any corner.

Claustrophobic, insane,

Dealing with torture.

This first gate of hell

Melancholy of souls.

We chose our path.

How could we know?

Will he ever hear my screams?

Same damn screams I said that day.

Is forgiveness just a shadow lost in thought?

Or, maybe, will he hear me pray?

My eyes bled from the cry so hard.

My throat pierced from screams so loud.

A feeling of warmth touched the skin.

And light that shined through the cloud.

A hand that lifted me from the black.

A face, showing my shame, with alive eyes.

A voice that told me how I can redeem.

A being who has heard my cries.

Become a guardian angel

Protect humans' fates.

Save the lives of the mortals

To re-open the Golden Gates.

Guardian Angel is the next poem I'm starting to write. It will be chapter 3.
