I've been reading up on this question for a few weeks now (as I'm thinking of getting one or the other) and I've basically come to the conclusions that Logic is intuitive and more geared towards Musicians, while Pro Tools is very technical and more geared towards Audio Engineers. Most people seem to say that it's pretty much a questions of preference since Logic and Pro Tools are close as far as power and utility goes—though, Pro Tools seems to have a slight edge on what you can do with it to fully produce your music, which would explain why it has a reputation of being the industrial standard as far as recording software goes.
