Nashville I Love You

J Morrison ( c )   thought it would be a lyric but can't find any more words  trying to finish it

 

 

on the bus to Nashville  there's not an empty seat

every one is filled with someone's hopes and dreams

some are writing words while others hum a melody

and  each one has their CMA acceptance  speech

I won't lie I even have one too  it's four little words

Nashville I love you

 

since I stepped of that bus about a year ago

I've knocked on all the doors down on music row

they listen to my songs then say "we'll let you know"

but I still wait for the a  come back call on the phone

the waiting is so hard I'll tell you

but Nashville I love you

You've got such a great start John. So much truth in this too lol. As a poem it's fabulous but definately

you should expand it into a song. The hook "Nashville I love you" is a pearler!!!!

thanks for the read and encouragement  I don't normally take long to get lyrics down but this is a hard one . first verse just came from nowhere then stumped.  so thought ok it will be a poem , then a second verse came  I have others simmering but will not quite come to the boil .
