  1. "At times a mind that's born to wander Solves mysteries not seldom pondered That first egg layed from a labored hen Someone ate it knowin where it'd been" Perhaps my favorite stanza in this poem. Makes a great statement. The poem overall is awesome. No complaints here. Keep writing!
  2. I love this! Full of some beautiful lines. I especially love how you "bookend" the poem by starting and ending with the night. "I can't ever let it out Or the sadness will grow So until we meet again It's best you don't know" I'm not sure what "it" is that you can't let out. Is it that entity of her that you hold in your heart (like you discuss in the previous stanza)? Is it the frustrations you have concerning her absence? Is it your thoughts about her? This is the ONLY queary I have about this poem. Other than that, great piece! Keep writing!
  3. *A very short poem of mine. It has lots of symbolism and personal meaning to me. I'd love to hear what you guys think. Thanks!* A boulder Jutting out of the water A fist bursting through parchment Gales beat upon its broad, grey face Reeds thrive around its base Resilient in the storm Placid in the calm A fortress A home
  4. Good stuff! Thanks for reading my poem. I'm not sure you interpreted it correctly, but I guess that's my fault as the writer. I will take this as constructive criticism to help better my future pieces. Again, thank you for the very classy and refined response. Much appreciated!
  5. I'm looking for a place to stay A place where I'm alone Where no person can violate But only I can be my own I'm looking for a place to play A place to dance with my shadow Where the world remains astray And my insides cease to moan I'm looking for a place to gaze A place to glimpse upon beauty Where Eternity is always ablaze For here lies my heart's duty I'm looking for a place to lay A place to close my eyes Where the black cloaks them away For they only see what they despise I'm looking for a place A place to call my own
