First of all - apologies - i am new to the challenge group and mistakenly posted this on the critiques page rather than here.
I've been offline for a few days. I prepared this given the ten day limit for challenge 31, I see 32 is up but I'll still post this anyway. The verses, in my mind, I sing ina Dylanesque rambling way.. Its not great, but it is my first attempt at writing a song to order and I did find it an interesting experience.

To enjoy the freedom that only men can.
I tried to be powerful, I forgot to be kind,

so I wasted my time
Jim Morrison may be the Lizard King,
he may be able to do anything.

the hippies wanted all the world to be kind,
and now all I wanna do is rise above.
