I used to do things the traditional way, pad of paper, guitar and idea, however now I will take the basic idea, chord progression, get happy with it and record it complete. I will then listen to it and quite often some words will come to mind or stand out as I listen to it, and from that a title will develop. Then with the title I will create the lyrics.

I have the waves plugins as well, I don't use all of them but some like maxbass bring out certain harmonics for low end stereos, I the eq is very precise, I suspect because of the algorithm, the L2 'CD" is good because I also use a program called Harbal which not only eq's but can give you a level match so your track are all the same volume. You plug the numbers into L2 and it does the job. The bad thing about some of the wav's effects is that they introduce latency. If you can mathematically place your track it's not a problem.
