I did the same thing, in similar circumstances in Feb. I'm 51 in a couple of weeks time but it was by far the best thing I ever did. My wife fully supported the decision as now she has a housekeeper and chef full time which allows us to spend our weekends together with no 'chores' to be done before Monday eating into our time. It also gives me more time for music and astronomy! I hope you are enjoying it as much - although it does take a month or two to realise you don't EVER have to go back to work... 🎉👏😀
