Find a place in the house you can make your area (my wife has a quilting studio, and I have larger bed room) and pretty soon you will find that your interests will fill the day. The first six months are a little hard, but since you have an interest you will find how to fill your time. I do music at least 1/2 to 1 hour per day, same with photography and video (bought a second 4 wheel drive vehicle so my wife can "rescue" me if I get stuck out in the wilds:)) Big thing to to realize that your worth is you and not your job, and there will be ups and downs but your playing will help you adjust. Find other folks and form a band, I bought a good DAW and the Garritan GPO and am learning to orchestrate which is totally different from using my PX-5S. My new motto is expand your mind before the belly:)
