john when you write an instrumental how will you decide on the title??
i enjoy the freedom of instrumentals for that reason alone
you get more freedom in the title of the song without words

Hey
Ok, I guess most members now get that I think critiquing the work of others is an important part of developing as a songwriter. But, obviously, not everyone thinks that way. So I thought it would be interesting, and would perhaps encourage folks who don't bother much with reviewing, if you guys could share what you feel you get from critiquing.
If you think there are drawbacks, by all means mention them to. I doubt there will be many!
Cheers
John
As far as writing (like anything), it's just a learning process, the more we study good sources, practice, work at it, the better we get... pretty simple really, and that applies to everyone.
And whether it's just inexperience or we have a bad day, we all blow it... it just happens less often the more experience we get.
the only draw back is trying to be open and honest when critiquing, without upsetting the writer

Hey Nige, t/y (beer icon) I copied the mp3 file + imported the audio (mp3)
So fine, I could hear the mp3 mix on audacity window or whatever, could pan, gain, etc; When I hit the "Effect" menu all the options were written in "ghostpen" and unclickable (ie equilization)...do ya know does that mean I would need one of these "plug-ins" the manual apeaks of (tho I saw no specific plug-in for equalizing).
Then, to your 2nd point (EXP link), did you mean "try this and chuck audacity all together" or use as a clarification of it?
hey donna
it sounds like plug-ins are required for this.. as for the link i thought as it is another free program maybe try it out see if it's better
peace

Audacity or PC experts,
At least I've downloaded thee complete manual!
Re: the first step of remixing, one must get the mp3 or file "to" audacity...the manual quotes:
"1. How do I mix two tracks together?
Audacity mixes automatically. All you have to do is import two tracks into the same project, which you can do using the "Import Audio" command in the Project menu, or simply by dragging the two audio files to Audacity"
How do I drag the mp3 file to audacity?
Still haven't figured out how to copy an mp3 file, either. I right click on it, click "copy" and then nothing discernable (to me anyway) happens.
Gracious thanks.
hi donna
tryEXPStudio Audio Editor Free 3.94a if your struggling ,
when it comes to making a copy of an mp3 have you tried to right click it in windows then scroll down to copy..(then re-name it)
