    Hi everyone, This is my first post. I've been writing songs for 3 years, and now I'm starting to get some interest - so I thought it's time to copyright my songs. Here's my question: Should I be the one to copyright my songs? Should I get a lawyer to do it? Or should I wait until I'm signed and then have the music publisher or record company copyright them?
