I have pretty much everything in carry or roller bags, so hopefully I could avoid that. I just don't want something that looks "shop-y" or "garage-y" in my home office. That's more what I was getting at.

Hello all! New member here. I'm starting a mobile DJ business, and (much to my wife's chagrin) I'm converting a spare bedroom into my home office/equipment storage space. I've amassed a pretty decent amount of equipment so far; some of it fairly heavy and/or bulky, like 15' PA speakers and large, heavy duty tripods for mobile trussing. The problem right now is that it's all piled on the floor. I've collated many of the smaller pieces into carry cases, but everything is still on the floor. Does anyone have any suggestions for deep, STURDY, shelves or large cubbies that will help me utilize wall space and store this stuff more efficiently? I prefer them to be aesthetically pleasing (no Home Depot gray steel shelves with particle board), but also functional. I'm thinking along the lines of built-ins, but they have to have long, deep cubbys to accommodate some of the bulky pieces like the tripods. IKEA has decent looking built-ins, but they're bookshelf style -- too shallow and not sturdy enough for my needs. My expenses are through the roof right now while buying all this gear, so I can't afford to pay a custom cabinet maker, which I know is the best solution. It's just not attainable at the moment. This may be an impossible ask, but I'm hoping some of you out there have some creative solutions. Thanks in advance! Bill Pendleton, OR
