BarStar.com the leading online bar and local music directory, announces the launch of TracksOnTour, a new and exciting method for unsigned bands to gain exposure for their music. TracksOnTour (http://www.tracksontour.com) creates individual "Tours", which are mini CD's made up of four tracks from 4 different bands from around the country. Bands create an account at TracksOnTour and, for only $20, they upload a track to be included on a Tour. This track, along with three others, are then placed on the CD along with links to the individual band websites, liner notes and a unique identifier that helps track where each Tour is being listened to. 100 copies of each Tour are created and distributed to various Venues and Tour Promoters all over the country. These Venues consist of independent music stores, online radio stations. Tour Promoters are a team of over 50 different music loving street teamers who will distribute the Tours at various local events and on the street in their respective towns. This allows for the maximum exposure of a band's music. The most valuable factor, however, is how each Tour is tracked. Each tour is identified with a unique Tour Number. While the CD's themselves can be played in a traditional CD player, by placing the CD in a computer CD-ROM, the user will be directed to a web page where they will be asked to enter their zip code and other anonymous information. The demographic location is then associated with the respective Tour Number and bands can actually see where their music is being heard.
