Hello everyone, My name is Chris. I'm 18 years old and I've been living in Raleigh, North Carolina my whole life. I was given an acoustic guitar a few years ago for a Christmas gift from my grandparents and I've enjoyed it so much! I have much to learn on the guitar, ecspecially when it comes to composing music, which is truly what I love and desire to do. I believe my real talent lies with my ability to write lyrics. Creative writing has always been my favorite subject in school and I love thinking of new way's to describe simple things. The lyrics I write would be considered county to today's standards, however I also enjoy writing some singer-songwriter material as well as light pop. I have a myspace for me as a songwriter but I would not read too much into it as I have not changed it much since I was 14. I've grown up a lot and so has my music. At the end of the year, I am applying for a songwriting major at a college I would love to attend. I will have to submit four of my original songs so I just hope to write my ass off from now til then and to get some input from you guys on what I come up with. I definitely look forward to critiquing some of your work as well. I'm very open to online collaborations, discussing songwriting, or just talking to someone who shares the same interests. The music I listen to ranges from traditional country to r&b to techno and I can probably get into anything other than Rap or Classical music, although I do highly respect the later. My five favorite artists are Carrie Underwood, Randy Travis, Jamey Johnson, John Mayer and Miranda Lambert. I look forward to meeting everyone and checking out your work, Chris
