Hi John, For me its about getting down on paper the vision I see. I have a strong idea, not a picture exactly more of a feeling. I get goosebumps when I nail the lyrics to the feeling. Then I try and hone it to fit into a melody, to rhyme etc. I wrote this one about 10 minutes ago called "I pray to you" Kinda fast rock, Two verses, Chorus, two verses, Chorus, Slows to dramatic slow ending on last verse. Posting 2 vesus here and will post whole song in proper place. Ideas inside my head Can’t get out of bed Then I pray to You Searching for a friend Hoping not to bend Then I pray to You Wanting a life, oh please Falling on my knees Then I pray to You Why do I feel Like I’m no big deal Then I pray to You Cheers Craig

Hi All Hi from Johannesburg South Africa. I am keen on learning as much as I can from you more experienced folk. My main music interst is Gospel (for writing for myself) [der will be no preachin from me}. My Musical interests are varied and deep, having grown up on Boston, Deep Purple, Queen, CCR, Eagles, Clapton, and many 50's artists including the day the music died. I'm refering here to the Big Bopper and Buddy not the song...Ok the song as well! I love most music, but probable due to my age dont quite get Rap and techno. I live in Benoni SA which is about 30km from Johannesburg. I have written 3 songs over the past year. the first was a Christmas type carrol?? entitlled 'What then is Christmas?" and the next a song called "More of the same" . I have just recently put that to music, its currently a work in progress. the last one is called "Imagine" Just lyrics at the moment. Well thats me for starters, let me go and read... Cheers Craig
