  1. Theres nothing wrong with that my friend!!!
  2. Hari... I don't know International law... I am also not sure about internet use.. and the law. But I can tell you this.. if it is an US artist you are covering.. and they belong to BMI, ASCAP etc. then you absolutly have to pay up front. There is this thing about public domain.. but you would want to reseach it. Harry Fox is the main link for US based music. http://www.nmpa.org/hfa/hfafaq.html Here is the fax link. Our band did a cover of a Beatle song (Harrison actually) we had to pay $42 per 500 copies (this included downloads) no one ever gave us much information about streams?? So we offered it as streams. Saying all this... you will find... Very few OMD's will allow you to put up a cover tune. They don't want the hassle. MP3.com.. was the only one I ever knew who allowed this, and they run you through the wringer.. making sure you had all the license etc. I hope this is helpful.. I agree with Alistair... record your own music. If you want to get feedback from cover tunes.. the best way is to run it by your local network of friends.. and leave the virtual world out of it. It may come back to haunt you one day. Blessings Ricky
  3. Rockin.. no doubt my friend. Its a dream tool for most. But it is a fantastic unit.. I can swear to you on that much. I used to sit in on occasion with Neils old band...And was fortunate enough to mess around a little with the original LP. Which.. as strange as it seems.. Neil never played that I remember... I do have many old tapes with Neil on them (demo's from years ago) maybe one of you could blackmail him with those!!!! hahahahahaha only joking here!!!! Actually.. there are killer. Blessings Ricky
  4. Quite the unit there eh Steve!!! I remember when Neil mocked up his first unit.. it would only fit into a LP... then thanks to the pc revolution... parts became smaller.. and he can now fit this in about any model..
  5. Hey Kids.. An old band friend of mine.... sent me this link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=7330240490 This is more of a drooling kind of thing... but its a nice drool regardless. After you say to yourself.. "I can't afford that!" You can still get a little history about the system here. http://www.selftuning.com/ Neil is a very funny guy... a good guitar player in his own right.. and happened to invent a very useful tool. Stop in and say hello.. tell him Ricky sent ya! Blessings Ricky
