i was in maplins in southampton today and i spotted Zoom Q3 video recorders for 49 quid. Normally about 180 pounds. they had 2 left . high quality audio recordings with video ready to go straight onto youtube or whatever. if your thinking of getting one , nows the time.
hope someone takes advantage of this .

Cool , lets see them , age is no limit , i believe Sting wrote Roxan when he was only 14 or something.

Found this on my travels , don't know if it's already on here , but anyhow slotted into cubase and it works like a charm ,you dont even have to know how to work it because it has tons of pre sets , even i can do it . see what you think.

You can usually find collaborators who will provide vocals (and everything else) for you.
For instance, on macjams.com, many of the very best songs (and they are legion...) are the "collabs" of many talented individuals. "The Sisters," "Roxie," and many others there have amazing voices and are very willing to share. And this is simply one of the places where I "lurk," listening. The Internet (and, I am quite sure, this site) is full of people who can help you with your song, and the sum is much greater than its parts.
There isn't any question that the whole thing began with "the songwriter." But someone else might have done the arranging, or offered a killer solo track, or done the mix. A few very talented folks are aces at the arcane art of mastering.
So, "who wrote it?" Perhaps one soul. But, "who made it?" Many.
Write your song. Take it as far as you can. Make it inviting. Then, invite others into your world.
what a cool answer

Hi songwriting people , as you can see , my name is andy and i come from southampton , england.
found this site on google and thought i'd give it a go ,
i've been writing and recording my own stuff for about 10 months now , even though i'm 48 i've only just realised i can actually do it ( not saying i'm very good though )
i play guitar .... not brilliant but ok , and sing .... kind of ... well sort of croak a bit .
i collaborate with a couple of people from the prs forum , i write and my mate Ron from Baltimore puts bass and keyboards on , and sometimes another mate Dave , who's from canada , puts some real drums on ( oooooh !)
Well i'm just of to see what's what in the songwriters lounge ( or whatever it's called )
this seems like a cool site anyways , hope you can put up with me.
cheers
andy.
