the list is long where has the day gone

so many things I need to do

so many ways to think of you

just minding my own business

but you appear out of the blue

work keeps us busy

but thoughts of you still make me dizzy

it’s a shame and a pity

how far apart we are

in the same small city

life goes forward on a minute basis

every corner has new faces

they all have fences to climb

they are all in there own races

tables turn and people learn

how to put the wrong right

and then to sleep at night

in a peaceful dream

next to a beautiful stream

love can burn you at the start

can leave a hole in your heart

but it is still better than being apart

a flame can appear very bright

in the dark
