Some days I wake up

Only to find myself stuck

Within the depths of myself

I try so hard to stay awake

I try so hard to run away

For days on and nights

I try to embrace the light

I try so hard not to sleep

Yet sleep, it never waits

It always has its ways

As I sleep on for days

Only to wake up again

Been hurt as an alien of this earth

By this life pushed upon birth

I find myself drowning

Deeper and deeper within myself

Yet, Sleep always gets away

Suffering from an addiction to sway

Yet always succeeded in her ways
