Forever And Always

She is the sea,

I am the sand.

She's like the sky,

I'm like the land.

She is the wind,

I am the kite,

She is like day,

I am like night.

She is so perfect,

I am all jaded.

As she shines brightly,

My shine has faded.

But none of this matters,

Because we are one,

Endlessly in my heart,

Forever and always my love.

Short and sweet It feels like almost like a love letter to me... though love letters aren't usually written in 3rd person, lol. It's well written... how long did it take you to write? I think the weakest part of the poem are the lines

"She is like day,

I am like night."

They just didn't stand out as much to me as the rest of it. Maybe because the same metaphor has been used lots of times.

The last verse definitely ties it all together! Have you written any other poems?

No i haven't written any others poems before,

I write lots of songs though.
