  1. Nice invitation to the group Jim! I enjoyed the continued metaphor, but especially this part "Some will blosom Others will wither away Some are sweet clover Others are just hay." ~TIMOTHY~
  2. I like the concept of her being "two" different people. Though you sometimes prefer the other, luck would have it you have both! Very sensual piece... keep it up my friend! ~TIMOTHY~
  3. Don't know who Garrison Keeler is...... But once again another good read, I think it liked it even better that the Summer one! Keep it up! ~TIMOTHY~
  4. I like how you go from loving summer to thinking it's over-rated. It's so true!! I'm not a hot dog guy myself... I prefer burgers any day. Here in Idaho, the weather is extremely random... we don't really seem to "fade" into the next season but just jump right into it. Anyway... Good read Jim! ~TIMOTHY~

A really breezy read with lovely imagery. I especially like the third stanza... I've never thought about winter being old, but it got me thinking! I love nature poetry, and this is no exception. Well written Beth! ~TIMOTHY~
  6. Hey Maz! Long time no speak! :)

  7. Thank you Jim!!! I've never read anything by Shakespeare, but I take that as a huge compliment! ~TIMOTHY~
  8. I know I should really save these for the challenges, but I really wanted to show you guys! This is a very different form of poetry called a sestina. The structure of is is really strict and it's completely non-rhyming. There are six verse of six lines and it ends with a 3 line verse called the Envoi. The tricky part is that the end-words of the first verse must all be repeated in the next verse (at the end) in a specific pattern. So you have to use the same words over and over without feeling repetitive. The Envoi contains all six of the repeating words. Anyways.... here it is... a bit different! This poem has been deleted due to possible publication.
  9. Is there something you need to tell us, Jim... I'm a little spooked out... do you REALLY sell cat trees?? o_O Lol... all joking side... An unexpected piece from you that caught me off guard. It's not a really delightful experience to get inside the mind of a serial killer, but then again this wasn't meant to be pleasant. You've captured the scene quite perfectly, almost gave me chills... Keep doing what you do! ~TIMOTHY~
  10. Don't believe so... but then again I wouldn't really know, being homeschooled and all ~TIMOTHY~
  11. Occasionally I'll watch it... but mostly no.... Weekly reader? Are you talking about newspaper? I like to read a lot, but not that.... ~TIMOTHY~
  12. Nope... I guess I don't watch the news that often.... ~TIMOTHY~
  13. I feel honored to be a part of your poem, Jim! Haha.... you guys make me feel special I honestly don't know what Proliferation even means.... *looking it up on dictionary.com as I type*.... Very well thought out acrostic! I especially like the ending "Now that's been said, this one's done!"... nice closing line ~TIMOTHY~

That last part really hit me in the face... Very well written! I like how most of it's very comical and just "whatever" and then all of the sudden it hits you and you're like... wow... that's deep! Great mix of comedy, sadness and provoking thoughts! ~TIMOTHY~
