Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving can mean one or two

Or if your family all surrounds you

Have turkey and even ham

Have boloney or plain old Spam

Have the fixings or potato chips

Along side some good old dip

We all got something to thank God for

Whether we be rich or poor

The first Thanksgiving I understand

The pilgrim’s ploy to take Indian land

Maybe not, but I’ll eat deer

And a lot or goodies I don’t need I fear

We can either thank God or we can mope

And say that there is just no hope

But thanking God for just one thing

Might just make the angels sing

Well I hope nobody is left out

For there is food enough about

For those unable to eat at all

I hope they get some kind warm calls

Give of yourself if you’re able this year

Bring a lonely person cheer

Have a good one as they say

And thank our Father when you pray
