Hey all!

I'm Alex; I'm a musician from Canada.

I recently was thinking "there's gotta be some songwriting message boards online somewhere...why has it taken me till now to think of this?". And here we are!

I mostly write what you could call rock music, though I have a considerable amount of training in classical composition. I'm here to see what other independent songwriters are doing (big interest of mine!). I do a lot of writing and demo recording so it'd be nice to get some thoughts from other musicians on those, of course!!

My major influences are the Beatles, Nirvana, Pavement, Mozart, Steve Reich, Aesop Rock and Bob Dylan. I guess? At the moment? Haha.

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know this place!
