your future secured by the past

within the battle I cast aside

the shells that took all of your lifes

with my eye I lock my sights

I take the lead and you look up to the sky

to the doomed I say goodbye

through the view I see you die

when the cold desert comes

just close your eyes your job is done

when time has glazed your eyes

let the fading dream subside

When I first read this I didn't really connect with it. After a couple of days I read it again and I really enjoyed it.

You are talking about a sniper right?

Minor spelling mistake... it's LIVES not lifes...
