Singer/songwriter, Kennesaw Ga- Hello All

Hey everyone,

Thought I would join this site for some feedback give and take. I've been writing lyrics/poems for many years and have just recently acquired the limited musicianship to put these ideas to song. I've been playing out at open mics for a couple of years and am plunging myself into learning acoustic and electric guitar. I'm looking for some feedback and advice regarding these first recordings (made with a $50 Flipcam- but you'll get the idea).

I write songs that are direct and come straight at you with their message. My song topics range from political to drug/alcohol abuse to nostalgia for lost youth (with a few love songs thrown in but I am currently steering away from that).

All feedback is welcomed and I will gladly reciprocate if you would like my impressions of your stuff.

P.S. I don't want to sound like a dick since we just met, but I have met a few very unscrupulous people in some of my contacts with other "musicians" (say it ain't so!). That being said, I just wanted to convey that I have become versed in copyright protection and know how to defend the integrity of my name and songs. Cool people- sorry that you had to read that, but as you well know, there are parasites out there with no originality who contribute nothing and threaten the "safe-haven" that these forums provide for songwriters.
