Writers Block

Frozen words and thoughts

Produces writers block

You sit there and complain

No words come from your brain.

Staring at the paper

Gripping tight the pen

Your mind churns round and round

Yet you don't know where to begin.

Why do thoughts suddenly dry up?

When will the brain cramps end?

When you can just let it all go

And let the feeling back in.

Some times we just have to stop,

Completely walk away.

Our brains can't take the constant work

They need a holiday.

Get out, get away and have some fun

You must do something different.

Go mountain climbing, bungy jump, take a dive at sea.

You've got to find a way to let your mind be free.

They say, doing the same thing over and over

And expecting different results,

is a definition of insanity

and also produces writers block!

So, break your habits,

Experience something new

Don't try to force

The thinking to come through.

Then one bright morning you'll wake up

And as suddenly as it was lost

The feelings and the words will be back again

You'll know it was worth the cost.

All gone is writers block!
