New Here! :)

Hi everyone! I'm new here. I write songs since I was 11. I write lyrics and music. I write mostly pop (urban pop, experimental pop and classic pop), but also soul and r'n'b. The thing is I don't know how to record it. I tried several times, but I'm really clumsy with it :) I would really appreciate if someone would help me with it. I'm also interested in collaboration and writing for other people!

Thanks! :)

Yes, well, I really suck with technical stuff. I have no idea about the cabels and everything. How do you record your songs? I play on keybords and record it with a microphone on the computer. But, that sucks right? What abot those softwares where they have virtual instruments? Is that a better option? The thing is a can play only piano and I have no partners to help me with other instruments.

Hmmm... I'm less experienced with piano (I'm pretty new at this myself), but would invest in a midi keyboard. That will usually be compatible with the virtual instruments or come with them, which makes them infinitely versatile. If you want to record vocals as well, I would look toward a good condenser mic. I can use mine with any instrument and it works great. Also, what kind of software do you use?

I try different softwares, like Audacity, FL, Cool Edit...I'm not really sure which one is the best....

soundcloud is a website http://www.soundcloud.com where you can host your audio. You can then embed your sound cloud hosted audio directly on the songstuff boards using the insert media button on the Songstuff post editor. It's a good site in terms of audio hosting, although I am less into other aspects of the site. Way too much back patting in terms of comment.

btw You can also directly attach audio to your posts on Songstuff using the attach file option, or upload your audio into your Songstuff gallery. Songstuff isn't intended as an audio host in the way that Soundcloud is, this is just a capability we provide to aid critique where as it is the core function of soundcloiud.
