I've got My cigarettes and My ball point pen

and a million ideas time to let them out again

I've got an empty soul and a weary mind

blood shoot eyes and plenty of time

The coffee is strong and the lighting is dim

Time to wrestle with ghosts but were to begin

How about this world and the shape it's in

the world is on fire and gasoline is sin

How about sex and the misguided youth

order more body bags they can't handle the truth

What about religion what about God

To many teams with pretty bad odds

what about drugs the great escape

it's way overrated is the tail of the tape

What about love what about greed

what about power and baby's in need

what about money what about crime

what about illusions what about time

what about pain how about some remorse

death and destruction and the rise in divorce

the misguided infidels the priest and his boys

the sun and the moon all the solders deployed

the sick and the dieing the scared and the meek

the cowering failures the new circus geek

The flowers in Autumn the last flash of hope

Winters gallows life hangs on the rope

My ashtray now full of memories past

My coffee is cold and my pens slowing fast

My thoughts become muddled My soul locks its cage

I rub my red eyes and pity this page

the poor lighting has brought on a migraine

My time now used up My ghosts feel the shame

This pointless endeavour I often fall in
