Just some silly thoughts about being alone.

Alone

You know I've decided there's nothing wrong with being alone.

Don't even have to answer the telephone.

Whatever I do is up to me.

Being alone means being free.

Don't have to answer to no one else.

No one here but myself,

If I can't deal with that

I need a long rest.

I can get drunk if I please

Listen to music, watch TV

Stay up late or go to bed early.

No one cares if I'm actin squirrely.

Invite someone over to spend the night

Send them home if it don't feel right

Ain't nothing wrong with being alone

After all it is my home.

Nothing but this ringing in my ears

but I'm the only one here.

I can think my own deep thoughts

Come to my own calculated conclusions

Nothing is better than my own delusions.

Being alone is not a balancing act,

My brain just looks at the apparent facts.

Do I believe what I perceive?

Or do I seek myself to deceive?

No one around to get in my hair.

Don't even have to change my underwear ,

I can be just , "whatever!"

Don't have to complain about the weather.

It's always just, "now or never!"

The only problem I can see

Is when I die,

Who'll find me?

That last part really hit me in the face... Very well written!

I like how most of it's very comical and just "whatever" and then all of the sudden it hits you and you're like... wow... that's deep!

Great mix of comedy, sadness and provoking thoughts!
