My name is Andrea. I am a Music Business teacher in Qld, Australia.

My background is in original music venue and artist management. I used to manage a number of venues including one in which a number of well known Australian bands started their careers.

My Music Business classes run two NFP businesses:

- Urchin Entertainment: which is primarily a service for organising gigs and advice to our on campus music students, but is starting to branch out to help other musicians.

- Verse Chorus Bridge: A new music TV show that features QLD bands.

I have primarily joined to see what sort of questions musicians have about the industry so I can get an idea of the sort of skills gaps are common and better assist the music students who enrol in our courses.

Also hoping to make connections in the UK as I may be escorting students on a study tour to Liverpool & London in 2012.
