Hi all,

I'm from somewhere out in the woods between Atlanta and Athens, Georgia.

I started playing drums when I was 7, started sitting in with pros when I was 10, then played in various bands (country, gospel, rock, and jazz) into my early 20s. Played in front of 1000s, and in front of just a few. Sometimes for pay in recording studios, and sometimes for all the pizza I could eat.

Then, in my 20s, I gave it all up for a steady job, marriage, and just general life stuff. A few years pass and I start missing the music. I picked up a guitar and took a few lessons. Now I noodle on guitar, bass, harmonica, and drums. I'm not any good, but I entertain myself.

Around 2003, I got brave and attempted an open mic. I got up on stage, started okay, missed a string, and completely froze. I slinked off stage paralyzed by fear. My Dad thinks it's hilarious considering my past. The next day, I wrote by first song lyrics about the experience while driving into work. It took about 30 minutes. I've never been able to put music to it (or anything else I've written. ). However, the bug bit and I've been doing some writing since.

I'm hoping to find similar souls that help me add structure, polish, and music to the thoughts that run through my head. People that will provide honest feedback and critique and make suggestions of improvements.
