Intoxicating

Declaring innocence 

in a moment swallowed by blissful ignorance 

Loosens the nerves 

and rushes the blood 

throughout the inner workings of my deceivingly twisted head. 

You have untangled the mess of me

Woven yourself into my thoughts, making visible serenity starved for light.

That lied within colors I once threw away, 

As they were bitter and you are sweet. You're intoxicating to say the least.

I definitely pictured you talking about a pill/drugs/alcohol but the best part about this poem is it's metaphorical genius where it is left up to the reader to dissect and define.
