What To Pay The Producer?

My wife just finished a 4 song EP. A friend and producer of 3 of the 4 tracks wants 20% of two and 15% of one of the songs.

Now, what does that entitle him to? If I sell a song for $10,000 is he entitled to $2000 of the sale? I'll likely pay %50 in finders fee for the person shopping the songs. Does he only get 20% of my cut ($5000)?

What does he get of publishing points etc?

Does his % include everything the song ever earns including the sale, roylaties and publishing or some mix of the three or not?

He did a very good job arranging the song from it's original form as well as drive the recording of the song.
