I'm looking for a place to stay

A place where I'm alone

Where no person can violate

But only I can be my own

I'm looking for a place to play

A place to dance with my shadow

Where the world remains astray

And my insides cease to moan

I'm looking for a place to gaze

A place to glimpse upon beauty

Where Eternity is always ablaze

For here lies my heart's duty

I'm looking for a place to lay

A place to close my eyes

Where the black cloaks them away

For they only see what they despise

I'm looking for a place

A place to call my own
