Hello all!

 

My name's Joe.  I just joined here today.  I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

 

I used to write songs with a buddy back in the mid-1990s; he would handle the musical side, while I wrote the words.  Over a period of around five years or so we wrote maybe a total of maybe forty songs.  A couple of those old works were his solo songs (words and music), and maybe as many as ten of them were my solos.  But we always considered all of those songs our work.

 

I went away from songwriting for around ten years, then the bug bit me hard again a couple of months ago.  Since then I've completed a couple of new tunes, and I'm writing ideas down and putting stuff together almost every day.

 

I play guitar and am learning the bass, but I really wish I could find like-minded folk with whom I could collaborate and perform.  I'd love to have a band to play with.  

 

But Rome wasn't built in a day.  So I'm fine with building things brick by brick.
