One More Round

Hi,

I am a returing member. I had some login problems, as it has been so long, so I started a new account under the name Simmon. I formerly posted as Carnival, but it's been so long that most of those posts are no longer on the site.

I write songs - that is, lyrics with melodies. But I am just learning to play guitar, and plan to eventually start building on my 2-year stint as a pre-teen piano student. I have been working hard to develop my voice. I want to bring my lyrics to performance and share them with...well let's face it, we all want to be superstars. But I would be content to sing my songs to my friends in my living room. It's all about personal expression.

I take my writing seriously and I have worked hard to develop it. I am beginning to take an active role in the Lyric Critique forum, and I hope my reviews are constructive and helpful.

Since I was last here, in 2009, I am now seeing a much more promising crop of lyricists on this site, and that excites me. Eventually I hope to post completed songs for review, and the prospect thrills me.

I look forward to renewing my acquiantance with the long-time members from the past, and with the newer ones.
